My wife recently returned from Barnes and Noble with a book titled "Houston Beer - A heady history of brewing in the bayou city", by Ronnie Crocker. The book includes the early years of brewing in houston, dating back to pre-prohibition, the brewpub era, the microbrews...st. arnolds, southern star, karbach and no label. Even the up and comers of buffalo bayou and 8th wonder are mentioned.

Of course, the book also covers the homebrewing scene. RC Phil Kaufamn has a photo in the book. Mike Heniff is mentioned as well as John Jurgenson, Scott Birdwell and Bev Blackwood.

Wow, that book should sell in the dozens. I hope you're not on Phil's Christmas list!
