I've never had a bad day brewing until yesterday. Beats a good day at work.

I took a week of vacation and some plans fell through, so i decided to brew this weekend instead.

Everything was going great. Hit my strike temp, doing a little cleaning up and getting ready to sit back and have a beer.

Then my dog, who was attaced to a long leash in the front yard decided to investigate what was going on. The dog got wrapped up in the canopy, pulled the canpoy and my two tier system all down into a heap of destruction. As I started to clean up, I thought "Nobody would belived this", so I took a few pics.

After reviewing the damage report, we only lost the floating thermometer from the HLT and a few of the valve handles were bent, but still workable.

Anyway, I cleaned up and set back up while my friend went back to BIY and got a more grains. Of course his van over heated on the way there and Ray helped him out. Many Thanks Ray!

Oh, the humanity!

That is truly a bad day of brewing. It sounds like you did end up with some wort at the end of the (pretty long) day, so there's a happy ending. It can easily be sold as either Hindenberg or D-Day Ale/Lager/Whateverthefuck.

Which just leaves....
Die, doggy. DIE!

Did it at least scare the feces out of your dog when the world came tumbling down around it?

The good news is nobody got hurt, the dog is still alive (for now) and I still ended up with 5.5 gal of Kolsh fermenting nicely @ 62 F

What stll amazes me is how a 40 lb dog can cause so much chaos.....a wolverine would be less destructive...lol
