Since Phil is far to modest to brag or boast of his award winning beers I was curioius as to what style he placed 3rd with? I remember tasting a dead on ESB @ his house (April Meeting) so I'm guessing this must have been the one since competetion styles are limited to category 8 (A. Standard/Ordinary Bitter, 8B. Special/Best/Premium Bitter & 8C. Extra Special/Strong Bitter).

GABF Pro-Am Competitions have become quite popular recently seemingly every Brewery sponsers one in conjunction with their associated local Homebrew Clubs growing its fan base & product line using creative juices of the best Homebrewers have to offer like Phil Kaufman last years Strong Scotch for Saint Arnold, Ed Condons winning Southern Star Smoked Porter & another BBBB winner Chris Landis English Barleywine.
