So has anyone ever heard of anyone making a Ale, Beligian, or Lambic with Durian fruit?

I saw that thing on the Food Network and the smell of it made the chefs gag.

Wikipedia says that tempoyak is a condiment made from fermented durian. It looks like they mash it up, ferment it, and use it in this lumpy, not-really-beverage like state.

Is it locally available? I don't think I've ever seen one at the grocery stores I frequent, but I can pronounce the names of these grocery stores, so that's probably the first problem.

I think I'll let you be the guinea pig on this one.

Well I've seen it at the Hong Kong market around June. You smell it before you even enter the stroe (but that could just be the overpowering funk in there anyways). I've been curious about it for soooooooo long. They say is smells terrible but tastes great (Alledgely). I doubt my wife would let me do this in the house.
